Working closely with Talent Intelligence, Match, HCM and the Job Architecture team, this role ensures clear visibility on the skills needed today and in the future. It leverages the latest thinking on skill-centric organizations to foster more horizontal, fluid career paths, focused on building depth and expertise at Novartis. This role works on exploring and strengthening the intersections between Job Architecture, Skills, Organizational Development and Career Frameworks.

This role works on exploring and strengthening the intersections between Job Architecture, Skills, Organizational Development and Career Frameworks.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support to define and implement a new, Novartis-bespoke approach to skill-centric career frameworks, organizations, skill assessments, skill taxonomy management and data & technology
- Own the continuous update of skills to jobs mapping, to inform best-in-class skill requirements per role, working with relevant stakeholders in the various units
- Leverage Talent Intelligence to link Skills to Jobs, either by leveraging labor market data, internal systems or new approaches like NLP to inferred skills from JDs or Jobs-to-be-done, or spotlight major skill gaps in our workforce
- Facilitate the intersection between organizational development, career frameworks, skills and rewards job architecture
- Governs, manages, and matures skills taxonomy and taxonomy harmonization approach across multiple systems and solutions – e.g. by leveraging existing vendor solutions like Talent Match
- Expand on the Novartis-bespoke approach to skill assessments, providing central skill inventory about the skills of our associates (inferred, self-declared, assessed)
- Work with unit stakeholders and broader P&O community to centralize and professionalize skills assessments leveraging state-of-the art technologies
- Support the enablement and action learning approach for P&O Business partners and the learning community to successful leverage skills assessments and data

- Advanced degree in an business administration, data science, computer science, I/O psychology, behavioral economics, mathematics, or political science
- Proven work experience in strategic talent management and demonstrated track-record in developing company-wide talent, rewards or learning frameworks
- Conceptual strength to understand, present and discuss the intersection between multiple highly complex approaches, systems and structures
- Experience in working with global frameworks, policies and processes e.g. in the rewards environment
- Understanding of main technological trends in HR, hands-on experience in rolling-out digital solutions preferred
- Advanced skills in visualizing data to tell a clear and compelling story, and preparing senior management presentations
- Self-driven and pragmatic, with high business orientation and ability to succeed in an agile environment
